Why I quit my day job…

Why I quit my day job…

When I was a kid, I loved to read. My favorite books were about far-away places like Spain and China. I would read The Five Chinese Brothers and imagine myself in China, hanging out with them, having adventures. Ferdinand the Bull and I were best friends…you get the picture.

Then I got older, time passed, and my dreams of seeing those far-away places got a little lost in the whirl of work and school.

Not any longer. I’ve saved, planned, and schemed. Yesterday I quit my job and packed my bag, and in a few days I’ll be somewhere else.

I know that travel can be frustrating. Lost luggage, sunburns, delays, and sleepless nights will be the least of my problems.

Bring it on.
