Sunday in Chiang Mai…

Another easy day, walking around and drinking lots of coffee!

Somehow got in 20 thousand steps just watting it up, doing errands, and taking in another night market.

Tomorrow is our field trip to a national park, two waterfalls, some Wats, and shopping at an Hmong market.

Good morning! Have a great Sunday!

Insect Museum Day…

After a terrible night suffering from the gypsy water disease, I got a slow start and finally we made our way out of the city center to the Insect Museum.

It’s a private museum set up by two scientists who spent their lives studying mosquitos and malaria. Lots of insect specimens,  random wood carvings, paintings, mineral samples, and of course lots of information about mosquitos. Very interesting!

Some lunch, some errands,  and that was it for me. I had to rest until it was time for the Saturday Walking Night Market. So. Many. People. But it was wonderful. We tried a bunch of random food, bought some junk, ate some more food…

Goodnight!

Thai Boxing Day…

Our only plans for the day were to have some solo time, some pool time of course, and see a Muay Thai match.

The time alone was good.  I had a great lunch and some walking around. There is some seriously great “urban art” here.

The boxing match started promptly only 20 minutes late. TBH, it was really entertaining if not exactly real. It’s the first set of matches I’ve ever seen. So I’ll have to see more for a comparison.

Having a fun time with Crystal here!

Tomorrow…more nothing!

Yay!
