April 7 ending in Logrono (day 4)

Very nice walking today. There was a bit through a pine forest that was so much like the high desert in oregon, it was like being there.

A long hot day tomorrow, then some rain later this week. I’ll welcome it.

We passed into a new province today. It’s lots drier and the vegetation changed.

A remembering place
Left some of mom’s ashes here
Spring is going strong here. The lilacs are blooming too
Some kind of daisy?

Day 3 Estella to Sansol

I went a little further today than planned to make tomorrow easier.

It worked out well. The hostel I’m at is a little iffy but the vibe is good. Had an okay meal here and some good convo.

Another lucky day with the weather
There were sheeps grazing
A cistern from 1280
The owner prepared a paella for us

Day 1 Puente la Reina

Well I don’t know what I  was worried about.

It was just a very long walk. All the hard work and exercise and gym days and calorie counting were totally worth it.

Walked in the afternoon with Linda from St. Louis. She and I took a side quest to see an oooollldd church. It used to be a hospital for pilgrims.

Incredible day
