Day 14 ending in Reliegos

Nicer day today. Not so cold or windy.

The town I’m staying in tonight is famous for being struck by a meteorite, and for possessing an Elvis bar.

Also, there are these neat underground wine cellars. I’ve seen these before in the La Mancha area.

I’m staying in a vegan hostel. A vegetable wouldn’t kill me so I’m getting the communal dinner.

Roadside memorial
Kinda out of place?
It wasn’t open
These are called bodegas here

Day 13 ending in Sahagun

It’s officially the halfway point for those that started in St. Jean PDP, in France.

A long day for anyone who dislikes walking into a headwind in freezing weather.

I kept my pace up and made it to my destination anyway.

Day 12 ended in carrion de los condes

Very short day today, only 4 hours of walking.

The wind was brisk. With the wind chill, it was literally freezing temps. I was sad.

Got a hotel room. Nice little town, with a shop that sold me overpriced gloves so I can be not sad tomorrow.

Ate a huge meal.

Last big day tomorrow. After this I’ll take it more easy. Also the towns start to become closer together.

Day 11 in Fromista

( I forgot last night)

Super windy all day. I’m still a little chilled even the next morning.

A short day today and a private room for some privacy tonight.

Nice little river
Only real climb today is over that hill
And the top is marked, last night’s town in the distance there
An old hospital and church, they were serving cookies and coffee inside
A bunch of storks were building nests up there. I watched for a while
