March 3

Had a delightful day of sightseeing in Cordoba. The weather was perfect and I saw a lot. I took two walking tours.

An important personage in the Jewish quarter.
Darling little neighborhood with private houses that welcome visitors to look at their patios
Apparently it takes 2 hours to water in the summer

Royal stables. We got to go and admire the horses.  Im not a horse person but they are beautiful animals, and very well cared for.

A travel day to Cordoba, and a visit to the cathedral that used to be a mosque. Super neat.

I’ve been to a mosque that used to be a cathedral before, too. Also neat.

Im staying at a charming little hotel in the city. It’s close to the river and a market. Perfect.

In its heyday, the mosque could hold more than 6000 people
The old city walls
The Alhambra
So many cats
The roman bridge, if I was walking the Camino from Malaga, I would have crossed it on my way to Santiago

Nothing to report yet.

Had a decent breakfast and am moving on to Cordoba this morning

At the Latroupe Prado hostel. Can recommend.

Edit:

Well, I just had a small heart attack. An ATM ate my debit card, and I realized that I dont have a backup plan for cash acquisition.

I got it back but, damn, that was a tough few minutes.

Camino 2026

Hello and happy 2026!

Im heading out to Spain again in March for another Camino. TBH, I’m a little anxious this time.

There’s some long days ahead with lots less support than last time. Wonder how I’ll do?

That’s all for now

See you in Seville!
