Had a great day on the bus tour. Saw a lot, almost enough, of Wales now. I’ll have to come back and see Anglesea and a few other places, but that’s for the futures
I don’t really have plans for tomorrow but I’ll bet something will turn up. Maybe go see museum for a change.
Got up early and just went off to Chester. When I got there it was just me and the homeless people on the streets.
10 dollars worth of coffee later, I was having a lovely time walking around. Taking pictures of statues and flowers like I tend to do. Chester is neat. The town has remade itself several times over the millennia, no joke. Now it’s stuffed with tourists but it was fun just the same.
When my feet started hurting I went home. Ate a big dinner and now it’s time to sleep
See, the problem with staying in a hotel once in a while, is that it ruins my plans for world domination by reminding me how cheap I am. Some of these hostels are almost too much even for me, now that I’m reminded how nice some hotels are. For example, the hostel I checked into tonight has a light that literally cannot be turned off. We had to unscrew the bulb.
Pretty dodgy.
In other news the bed is comfy and it’s quiet. That counts for a lot. It’ll work
Liverpool is…not london. I mean of course not, right, but damn its NOT the same kind of big city. At all. Very difficult to describe but the difference is all around you.
I think I’ll enjoy it. A good mix of people. Tomorrow I’ll take a long walk and get my bearings then go to Chester in the afternoon.
Had a delightful time in swansea. The weather was unbelievable. I didn’t need all the sweaters and things I brought at all.
The bus is easy to use if you have a discounted day pass like I got somehow. If I took the wrong bus, well I just got off and tried again. I’m always surprised by the friendliness of bus drivers. Mostly they’re just good people. I’d get so tired of answering the same dumb questions lol.
Anyhoo the coastal walk that I planned went of without a hitch. Some kind person made a website that laid it all out for me. What a fun day! Saw a lot of beautiful scenery, lots of cute dogs, and some very touristy stuff too.
When my feet got tired I came back. Met a new Facebook friend on the train so that’s nice. It’s unusual to meet a local that wants to talk to a tourist!
Tomorrow I go on to Liverpool and northern Wales. Hope to see more natural beauty up there.
