I’m in Manchester. Not much of a travel day though. The train ride was only 45 minutes. They let me check in early and I was able to do my laundry and be out looking around by noon. So that’s cool

I didn’t plan the city part well. Everything that I’d want to normally see is closed Mondays and Tuesdays lol. I’ll have to cram a lot in on Wednesday.

Had a nice look about for a bit then went back to my place for the week, a regular hotel again. Read and relaxed until bedtime. Up early for some sights tomorrow until a walking tour.

March 27th

The time change today confused me and my museum viewing plans. Also there was a road race and I stopped for a while to clap for the runners and listen to the music. I think it was a samba band. It was incredible, the intensity. Nonstop for 2 hours. Neat.

I was a little sour on Liverpool’s museum scene until the Tate. Great, great stuff. Not too much modern, not too much classic.

The maritime museum was good too but there was 2000 percent more boats than I specifically require.

My last stop was the Walker art gallery. New favorite, it’s like the British museum but only the hits. Not too big and has some crazy stuff.

Overall a good last day. Tomorrow I move on to Manchester. It’s not far but I’m looking forward to a change.

Night, all

March 26th…

Had a twinge today of wanting to be home, so I took it easy this morning and had a nice breakfast at the hostel. And it was nice. After a carb bomb of course I felt better and went out.

Had a phenomenal walking tour. The guide was actually a local dude so he had lots of stories about growing up here. Pretty cool.

It got cold and after the ferry ride so I went back to watch some TV. Michael Caine movies were on three different channels lol. Popular guy.

Last day in Liverpool tomorrow. I’ll see the art museums, and get ready to move on.
