Today was the day I tried hard to not have any plans. Bought my ticket for uruguay. Round trip cost me about 70, that includes a crappy lunch and a short guided tour. Not too bad.

We're on a trip to some far-away places, but not just now

Delightful Sunday, spent some of it on a boat. So that’s cool. The group was small, only 6 of us. The others are all from Sao Paolo. The guide was speaking Spanish to them, so they must have originally been from a Spanish speaking country.
It was nice to get away a bit. I do love this city tho. I’m taking back what I said about the dog crap. The guide said it used to be a lot worse. So I’m grateful for that.
My roommate is a PhD candidate from Rio. Her English is good enough for us to talk a bit about her life in Brazil.
I think I’ll go to uruguay after all. A covid test is no longer required. After that the issue is only the expense, which isn’t too much. I’ll find out tomorrow. Also the historical city is a unesco world heritage site.

Had a great morning at the ecological park. There was a bunch of running clubs out, and some kind of 5k. Nice and no dogs allowed because of the birds. So no dog shit to deal with.
A tour guide told us why there is so much crap on the sidewalks. Argentinans don’t like being told what to do, and picking up their dog’s crap is high on the list of things that they don’t want to do. Pretty irritating.
Had a lovely time on today’s walking tour. Street art, and the guy that gave the la boca tour was back. Love that guy.
Then a long walk home. My feet hurt.
Had a good day today walking around the tourist-ish areas. Pretty bougie but still nice. How bougie is it? The night’s dogshit is washed away every day. That’s how much.
This weather has been amazing. So lucky. It’s coming on with winter but you’d only know it because everyone has their cute puffy coats on. I can see why airbnb’s are more expensive in the winter. It’s mild and lovely most days. It’s snowed twice in the last 100 years.
