September 27th

Busy day walking around.

Didn’t eat or drink anything special, found my local snack and grocery spot finally. Cheap yummy bread by the each for the morning, cold drink spot for heading back to the hotel. Had a pretty good Gelato at the square.

The walking tour today was good. Not too long. Sometimes they seem to go on forever.

I’m on a day trip tomorrow to Padua. It’s only 30 minutes away and the town is very walkable.

Uneventful travel day. My room is tiny but adequate.

Well venice is definitely not for those with mobility issues. There’s 400 or more bridges.

The city doesn’t look so big but getting anywhere takes a while. Best to be patient and walk slowly.

Had a nice walking tour that I got lost finding. It took me an hour to walk 350 meters.

Nice day

Day trip to como. The train ride was only 30 minutes and 5 euros, so that was nice.

I went directly to the funicular but strangely enough everyone else had the same idea lol. Still, it was worth it. There are several little hilltop villages. So cute but murder on the legs.

I also found out what the street sign for Dead End is. After trudging up steep hills just to find brick walls. Several times.

Nice pizza lunch and some sightseeing.

Moving on to Venice tomorrow.

Sept 24th

It’s a good day after getting enough sleep, also it’s the day I finally got to see the Last Supper by da Vinci.

It’s fashion week in Milan, and man is it fun to see all the outfits people are out and about in. Some of the get-ups are hilarious. I love it. So much fun. Tonight there was an outdoor fashion show in front of the Duomo. I didn’t go because crowds, but damn it would have been good.

Had a great sit-down at noon. So reasonable. It didn’t cost any more than Starbucks and so much more classy. Nice place.

Good day
