Lubian was really a cute little village. The main street has two bar owners that are apparently at odds. They bash each other to the walkers and online. Lol, people are funny.
It was a blustery day, but perfect for walking. The rain behaved threateningly all day but never delivered.
My allergies were off the chain all day. Spring is spring, everywhere.
We climbed over that hill todayThese flowers were everywhere You can’t really see it in pictures, but there were thousands of wild orchidsWe’re in Galicia! I was pumped because all of a sudden, the path was managed and walkable Also, this province has working water fountains!Big fires last year just destroyed a lot of the terrain
What a wonderful day. The sun was sunny, the birds were chirping, the mud wasn’t very muddy, and i had two solid cafés con Leche.
Tomorrow, we enter the province of Galicia. The terrain has gotten a bit more mountainous, and from now on, there’s more elevation changes during the day’s walking.
It was a poem about pilgrimsThis gas station vending machine was full of legit Japanese snacksThe highest point of the Camino so far, the Cruz del Peregrino A lot of the churchyards have an old beast of a tree, still hanging on Neat old broken down grist mill. The snow melt flow is still strong so far this year. The late mornings walk was just lovely Lots of wolf related stuff here in Lubian
Much warmer today, a great day for walking and enjoying the sun.
Today’s moment of excitement was finding a pantry moth larvae in my cooked oatmeal….in the oats I’ve been eating for 3 days Ah well, clearly it hasn’t hurt me. And now my backpack is a bit lighter.
Today’s high point was a coffee in Puebla de Sanabria. Its a walled city, and very nice if kinda touristy.
Im looking forward to my restaurant meal tonight. I was going to eat oatmeal but, anyhoo.
Tomorrow walk is quite short again, and I’ve got high hopes for coffee first thing.
