Almost ready to head home…

I’ve tonight in Casa, and two more in London, before I head home.

I’m glad I added on these days in Morocco. Per day, much more than my budget allowed, but in the end it was good. I’ve wanted to see the Sahara forever, and now I have! Maybe when I’m feeling braver I’ll tackle Egypt someday.

Had a nice hot long walk today.  Saw the beautiful side of the city finally. The fancy oceanfront resorts are beautiful and surprisingly affordable in off season.

Not much else to say, so, goodnight!

Last day of my bus tour…

Back in Casablanca again. We arrived from Marrakech in time for lunch and a short tour of the city. There was some new stuff for me to see so that was good. After a rest, a very classy meal at Ricks Cafe. Lamb shank and vegetables, delicious!

This trip with Cosmos was great. I’m easily pleased so I thought the food and hotels were just fine. Our tour director is fabulous. He’s a Brit who’s been here in Morocco for 20 years, speaks 5 languages and is really funny.

The arranged transportation allowed me to see things I’d never have figured out how to see on my own. The other guests are mostly great and I’m glad I spent the money.

Tomorrow I start working on the trip home. One more night in Casablanca, two in London, then Portland.

I look forward to seeing you all soon!

All day in Marrakech…

Lovely, cool day in Marrakech. Saw the local historic mosque, some rediscovered tombs, visited a Berber pharmacy, and lastly the main square and market.

Delightfully sunny, not too hot, nice lunch, little bit of shopping…very nice.

Tomorrow it’s back to Casablanca for the last tour day.

Road day to Marrakech…

Terrible Wi-Fi for the next two days. I’ll make it quick.

Good day on the bus going over the Atlas mountains again. Out of the Sahara and into a BIG tourist area.

Will enjoy the big market tomorrow buying all kinds of crap I don’t need lol

Happy birthday Beth at 601!
