Rained all day…

And I’m so glad. 

Started off the day by waking up at 3!! AM, then made a bunch of noise tossing and turning until 6.  Thought that wasn’t enough to piss off my dorm mates so I made a bunch more noise getting ready.  oops.

Found the train station and made my way  to Xinbei, an area with some old gold mines and touristy stuff. Very touristy stuff.

A very nice lady named Maureen asked me to hang out with her, and then bought me lunch! I must have looked lonely lol. It sure was nice to sightsee with her.

Spent a little time enjoying the coolness of the rain.

Later some light hiking, then dinner and treats at the night market. They have these eggy custard tarts that are great!
